Part of the PGE Security team since 2001, R.G. brings 30 years of experience as a Portland Police officer to the job. He puts his skills to work investigating burglary, theft and any other criminal activity committed against the company. He spends many hours out in the field, watching activity, gathering clues and talking to people.
“We have more than 800,000 customers we’re looking out for,” he says. “We’ll investigate, identify suspects and turn the information over to the police who handle it from there.”
By preventing crime, such as metal theft and bringing criminals to justice, R.G. and the rest of the Security team help keep costs under control. But for R.G., it’s more than the bottom line. “It’s the same reason I worked as a police officer — I really like helping people.”
