Takeaway tips from smart grid class
Our free energy-saving class series for business customers, co-sponsored by Energy Trust of Oregon and the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance, continued in May with a class on the future of the smart grid and the effect it can have on your operations.
Attendees agreed that in this case, knowledge is power. They learned the smart grid will:
- Allow customers to access their own energy usage data, providing insight into potential energy savings.
- Support and enable technologies and objectives that will benefit customers, utilities, society and the environment.
- Provide PGE with the information necessary to localize power outages and confirm restoration, reducing the duration of outages.
This class will be held again Oct. 7. For more information on upcoming classes for PGE business customers, visit our Classes section. If you’d like to receive e-mail notices of new class offerings, let us know.
