2009 National Key Accounts Customer Service Award (November 2009)

The nation’s leading chain and multi-site businesses named PGE as one of the winners in Edison Electric Institute’s (EEI) 2009 National Key Accounts Customer Service Awards program. Ten electric utility companies and four utility representatives were recognized for their outstanding service in the areas that the chains (including national brands such as Walgreens, Target, Staples and McDonalds) believe to be critical. PGE was recognized for its outstanding energy-efficiency programs.
2009 Solar Business Achievement Award (October 2009)
Awarded by: Solar Electric Power Association
PGE was recognized by the Solar Electric Power Association with a 2009 Solar Business Achievement Award in the category of Partnering for Success. PGE received the national solar award in partnership with U.S. Bank, the Oregon Department of Transportation, and ProLogis for being the first utility in the nation to develop a unique third-party ownership model to help create large-scale solar projects in its service area.

PGE and the PGE Foundation received an award during the Portland Business Journal’s Oct. 1 Corporate Philanthropy Awards ceremony. PGE and the PGE Foundation were ranked No. 8 among large companies for corporate philanthropy by the Portland Business Journal with $2,168,289 in cash contributions.
Start! Fit-Friendly Award (September 2009)

The American Heart Association’s Start! Fit-Friendly Companies Program has honored PGE with a Gold Level Start! Fit-Friendly Company Award for making a commitment to improving the health of employees by promoting physical activity and health in the workplace.
Orchid Awards (April 2009)

Carol Dillin, PGE’s vice president of Public Policy, received an Orchid Award from the Portland Business Journal. One of 25 outstanding women selected as business executives of the year, Dillin was recognized for her leadership through several public utility district campaigns and the company’s transition to independence as well as for her commitment to community service.
